Statement on Covid-19

At CheaperWaste we are continually monitoring the potential impact of the “Coronavirus” on our business and our partner’s supply chains. There has been no meaningful impact on our services to date, however, we do have a business continuity plan in place to ensure that we are able to deal with customer enquiries. We are also working closely with all our partners to monitor their plans.

We have made the decision to implement a home-working system to ensure the health and safety of our staff, and the larger community.

From 17:30 on 19th March, we will be conducting all meetings, calls, and operations via online and cloud-based applications.

We have been operating remotely over the past few days and we are confident that we can successfully work in this manner until the country has overcome the worst of the coronavirus.

Preventing the spread

Following the UK Government announcement of a UK Coronavirus plan and the current World Health Organisation (WHO) standard recommendations for the virus, we recommend the following steps to minimise infection risk to you, your employees and customers.

  • Frequent hand washing using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  • When coughing and sneezing, cover the mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue – throw the tissue away immediately and wash hands.
  • Anyone who has a fever, cough or feels unwell or suspects they may have the infection should contact the NHS services immediately and avoid contact with others until advised on the next steps.
  • Travellers returning from the high-risk areas (Category 1) are being advised to self-isolate, even if asymptomatic, and use the NHS services to find out what to do next. Those returning from Category 2 areas are being informed to self-isolate if they develop symptoms and call NHS services.

We will provide updates if the situation changes.
